Public ice skating reopens in the Olympic Ice Stadium once again from 23rd August! The hottest cold fun around! From Saturday 23rd August, skate fans will be in their element once more in the Olympic Ice Sports Centre. That's because the skating season begins once again in the Olympic Park - one that every year is only interrupted by a brief summer break. Whether it be the public skating sessions on specific evenings complete with disco and fantastic light show or any of the great number of other occasions in the special programme of events that are tailored to certain target groups, there's a whole host of fun and entertainment to be found for absolutely every ice skater. The Olympic Ice Sports Centre has lots to offer!Although the "colour" of the ice is more white, the skating season is starting off slightly green this time. That's because only electric ice-makers are being used in the Olympic Ice Sports Centre to prepare the ice. These new ice preparation machines, which are much quieter and more energy-efficient, travel for around 800 hours a year over the rink in order to smooth the grooves and cracks from the last time and make it smooth and even for the next crowd of users. In addition to a 1,200-litre water tank, a snow tank with a capacity of 3.6 m3 and planes, the two huge ice machines come equipped with a number of new technical features. The admission prices: Adults € 4.50, children under the age of 16 € 3.00. Children under the age of 6 are admitted free. The family ticket for two adults with family relatives under the age of 16 costs € 12.00 upon production of ID. Our free Olympiapark App (available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store) also enables people to call up the latest 14-day calendar in advance and see at a glance which skating session is happening when.
