Audiowalk Celebs leading guided tours through the Olympic Park

Visitors to the Olympic Park are now getting really close to the events: Uli Hoeneß tells them about the 1974 World Cup Final in the Olympic Stadium, Erik Zabel and Udo Jürgens offer the best of backstage anecdotes and the boss of the Olympic Park, Wilfrid Spronk, greets the tourists in person. A new “guide” makes this possible in a truly lively way. Audiowalk, the tour guide for the ears, offers visitors and tourists to the Olympic Park a varied and individual way to discover the park that can be enjoyed either during or after the visit. The acoustic tour guide, a loaned MP3 player in the shape of the Olympic Park, accompanies visitors like a close friend. Radio journalist and host Taufig Khalil narrates the Audiowalk, telling brief yet informative stories about the points of interest. As a special highlight, the commentary is interspersed with contributions from various celebrities who accompany the visitor on his or her stroll through the Park – even if “only” acoustically. In this way, it is possible to meet Olympic champions from 1972, former stars of FC Bayern München as well as other top sportsmen and women and stars from the worlds of music and entertainment. As a result, the interested visitor not only picks up facts and interesting tidbits but can also listen to stories about many different events that took place behind the scenes. The Audiowalk through the Olympic Park can be hired from the visitors’ service of the Olympic Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It costs 7 Euros (plus 50 Euro deposit). Returns are possible at the Olympic Tower payment counter up to 11:30 p.m. The tour takes from one to two hours depending on how the mood takes you. Visitors can dip in at any point, because the tracks can be selected individually. And it goes without saying that you can scan forwards and backwards. The Audiowalk was created in cooperation with Audible, the well known source of audio books and audio magazines. More information is available by phoning +49 (89) 3067 2414.
